Unpacking Realizations

Between a week full of work and a week full of sea, sand and sun... I couldn't bring myself to make a new post. But I'm here now! Last week a took four days to go to Porto Santo and just do nothing... But I'll tell you about that on my next post.
On this post I'll tell you about my unpacking realizations after I arrived home. While undoing my suitcase I realized I took too many things for just four days, because I like to leave all my options available regarding my outfits when I travel, but it turns out being really chaotic.
I start thinking about new ways to pack and I finally got a way to not over pack. From now on I will make some matches of the outfits I want to take for each day traveling. For example, for four days traveling, just match five outfits (you have to have a spare one in case of emergency :P).
I hope this idea will help some of you... Regarding my four day of vacations it was really great for body and soul, it really was what I was seeking :)


Entre uma semana cheia de trabalho e uma semana cheia de mar, areia e sol... Não consegui fazer um post. Mas cá estou eu novamente! A semana passada tirei quatro dias para ir até ao Porto Santo e simplesmente, não fazer nada...
Mas irei contar tudo sobre isso no próximo post.
Neste post irei falar-vos das minhas conclusões ao desfazer a mala depois de chegar a casa. Pois bem, enquanto desfazia a mala apercebi-me de que levei coisas a mais para apenas quatro dias, porque gosto sempre de deixar as minha opções em aberto, no que diz respeito à roupa quando viajo, mas isto acabou por se tornar um pouco caótico.
Comecei a pensar em novas formas de fazer a mala e finalmente cheguei a uma que não me permita exceder o peso limite em cada viagem. Daqui para a frente irei começar a fazer os conjuntos das roupas que quero levar para cada dia de viagem. Por exemplo, para quatro dias, cinco conjuntos (temos sempre que levar um a mais, em caso de emergência :P).
Espero que esta ideia ajude alguns de vocês... No que toca à viagem, foi óptima para o corpo e para a alma, era mesmo o que estava à procura :)

Flower Tank Top

Here I am with another of my flower/tropical pattern pieces!
As I promised on a previous post, here it is another one of my clothes with flower/tropical pattern!
So I decided to take my flower tank top and match it with a pair of jeans which look like leather that I bought last week on Zara's sales (yeahhh!). I think the color coordination it's fantastic... I had this tank top for a while but never found a nice match for the bottom like I did now. I'm very pleased with the final result :)
Another interesting and new thing that you can see on this outfit is my flat sandals which I bought on a local shop and has the same color of the jeans. I think this worked really well, don't you?!
The neon clutch and the accessories you already know from previous posts, but I think that on this outfit the neon accessories really worked it out and gave even more life and color to the outfit.
About the earrings... I stole them from my mom (shhh... don't tell) :)

Decidi colocar o meu top florido e combina-lo com umas calças que parecem cabedal, que comprei a semana passada nos saldos da Zara (yeahhh!). Acho que a combinação de cores ficou fantástica... Já tinha este top há algum tempo, mas nunca encontrei uma parte de baixo que combinasse tão bem como esta. Estou muito satisfeita com o resultado :)
Outra coisa interessante e nova, que podem verificar no conjunto são as minhas sandálias, que comprei numa loja local, e que são da mesma cor que as calças. A combinação resultou mesmo bem, não acham?!
A carteira neon e os acessórios, já conheciam de posts anteriores, no entanto, acho que funcionaram bem, e deram mais vida e cor ao conjunto.
No que diz respeito aos brincos... Roubei-os à minha mãe (shhh... não digam nada) :)

Retail Therapy

Who needs any other therapy when you can have a nice afternoon shopping?! You know, just you and you're little credit card...
It's my belief that every now and then a gal needs to indulge herself a little bit, specially on those times when has a broken heart, or trouble with friends or even at work. Retail Therapy puts you on better spirits and lifts a little bit more your confidence and self esteem...
I've been doing mine these past weeks and let me tell you my credit card needs a break for like a year (upsss on that one...)! But I'm pretty happy with my new acquisitions and it really put me on better spirits... Oh yeahhh :)

Quem precisa de outra terapia, se podem ter uma bela tarde a fazer compras?! Sabem, apenas vocês e o vosso pequeno cartão de crédito...
Acredito que uma rapariga precisa de satisfazer as suas necessidades consumistas de vez em quando, especialmente naquelas alturas em que tem o coração partido, ou problemas com amigas, ou até no trabalho. A chamada Retail Therapy coloca-nos logo bem dispostas e aumenta um pouco a confiança e auto-estima...
Tenho feito a minha nas últimas semanas, e deixem-me que vos diga que o meu cartão de crédito precisa de tirar umas feriazinhas durante um ano pelo menos (upsss...)! Mas estou muito contente com as minhas novas aquisições e muito mais bem disposta... Oh yeahhh :)

Rooftop Sunset Party II

Another Saturday at the top of Funchal... This time it was on the rooftop of one of the highest hotels in the city. The party called Take 5 was promoted by one of my favourites party promoters - Fluid! I love their parties with cool themes and very cool people. So unpretentious, just a group of friends who love music and love to share with others. I think they have a very cool concept with their parties being held on different places here on the island!
Well you may think I am, cause of my last post and now this one but I'm not the crazy party girl type, but once in a while a gal needs her parties, don't you think?! And I couldn't let this one pass by...
Regarding my outfit for this party, this time I choose an outfit very different from what I'm used to wear, I based my outfit on a t-shirt that I bought last week on Zara... I took the risk and loved the result! Tell me what you guys think... :)

Outro sábado no topo do Funchal... Desta vez foi no terraço de um dos maiores hotéis da cidade. A festa Take 5 foi promovida por uma das minhas promotoras de eventos preferida, a Fluid! Adoro as suas festas, como temáticas diversificadas, e com pessoas super interessantes. Tão despretensioso, apenas um grupo de amigos que adoram música e adoram de partilhá-la com os outros. Acho que têm um conceito muito diferente e muito atractivo, com as suas festas a terem lugar em vários sítios cá na ilha!
Bem, podem pensar que sou, pelo meu post anterior e agora por este também, mas até que não sou do tipo "party girl", mas de vez em quando, uma rapariga precisa das suas festas, não acham?! E além do mais, não poderia deixar esta passar...
No que diz respeito ao outfit que decidi levar, baseei-me em torno da t-shirt que comprei a semana passada na Zara... Arrisquei e adorei o resultado! Digam-me o que acham... :)

Summer Accessories

No doubt that this is the time of the year where you can over accessorize!
I can't put on an outfit without some accessories so in this post I'll show you some of my personal choices for this summer.

Sem dúvida que esta é a altura do ano em que se pode usar e abusar de acessórios!
Eu não consigo usar uma roupa sem colocar alguns acessórios e por isso, neste post decidi mostrar-vos algumas das minhas escolhas para este Verão.

Rooftop Sunset Party

Let the summer parties begin!
This weekend, and after a long week of hard work, me and some of my friends went to a sunset party. It was produced by a local event planner company called Tender Events and was attended by DJ Hobo and some Portuguese DJ's. The concept of the party was really cool, relaxed and truly summer feeling. I loved it. Above all this, the event took place on the rooftop of Madeira's Casino, so the view was spectacular over Funchal. So you can imagine, me, my friends, nice music, fantastic view and a mojito... What more can a gal ask for, righ?!
I made a little video too so you can enjoy the same view that I enjoyed, it's really small but I hope you like it!

I decided to take to this event one of my favourites summer dresses and match it with my large earrings from Asos (I'm really addicted) and some bracelets from PJ Accessories (love the colors, I'm a great fan). Some of the photos I took at my place... Guess who came to peek the photoshoot?! :)

Que as festas de Verão comecem!
Este fim-de-semana, e após uma longa semana de trabalho, eu e alguns amigos fomos até uma festa ao fim da tarde. Esta festa foi organizada pela Tender Events, uma empresa que organiza eventos deste género, e que contou com a presença do DJ Hobo e alguns DJ's Portugueses. O conceito da festa foi muito fixe e diferente, com um sentimento de Verão à mistura. Adorei!
E, como se não bastasse, este evento teve lugar no terraço do Casino da Madeira, a vista sobre o Funchal era fantástica. Podem imaginar, eu, os amigos, a música, a vista e um mojito... O que é que posso pedir mais, certo?! Fiz um pequeno video (acima), para verem um pouco da paisagem que vos falei, é pequeno mas espero que gostem!
Para este evento, decidi levar um dos meus vestidos preferidos de Verão, e combiná-lo com alguns dos meus acessórios que neste momento estou a usar, tais como, os brincos gigantes da Asos e as pulseiras da PJ Accessories (adoro as cores, e já sou uma grande fã). Algumas das fotos tirei na minha casa... Adivinhem quem apareceu para espreitas?! :)

City Patterns

One of the things that I love to do when taking pictures is to look for patterns in the city. Like patterned floors, roofs or tiled walls. It makes the place so unique! Some times you passe by it and don't even notice. So I intend to take many many pictures of these patterns in the future and show it to you here on the blog along with my outfits.
This one was taken on the Funchal's City Hall on one of it's walls, it's an original Portuguese tile panel. I love the colors and the pattern it's very fresh and so summer-esque.
After the photo shoot we had coffee on one of my favourite places here in Funchal, Café do Museu... Very trendy! I very nice afternoon with my dear friend Petra and part of the blog crew also :)

Uma das coisas que mais gosto quando tiro fotos é procurar padrões na cidade. Padrões no chão, nos telhados ou paredes revestidas de azulejos. Faz com que cada sitio seja verdadeiramente único! Muitas vezes passamos por estes padrões e nem reparamos. Por isso, pretendo tirar muitas, muitas fotos destes padrões e mostrar-vos aqui no blog, juntamente com os meus outfits.
Estas fotos foram tiradas numa das paredes da Câmara Municipal do Funchal, é um painel original de azulejo Português. Adoro as cores e o padrão é muito fresco e veranesco.
Depois da sessão fomos até um dos meus sítios preferidos aqui no Funchal, o Café do Museu... Muito trendy! Uma tarde bem passada com a minha querida amiga Petra e colaboradora do blog :)
